Gambling Affiliate Marketing Projects
I worked for a marketing agency for several years that specialized in the online casino and sports betting industry. During my time there, I contributed to dozens of websites, including GamblingNerd.com, TheSportsGeek.com, GamblingSites.com, and LegitGamblingSites.io. I also worked on the site rebuilds of the now-defunct PredictionMachine.com and SportsBetting.net.in.
My primary development platform was WordPress, using the Timber framework and the WordPress Block Editor. I have hands-on experience creating custom blocks with ACF and React, styling pages with SCSS, and adding functionality using vanilla JavaScript. I consistently developed with technical SEO in mind – improving Lighthouse scores, implementing schema markup, and enhancing accessibility. I also leveraged internal agency plugins and Yoast SEO to optimize site performance and search visibility.
I built front-end components based on Adobe XD mockups, including complete page layouts for internal and landing pages. Working within small development teams of 3 to 8 developers, I helped coordinate site rebuilds and develop new page templates. Below is a selection of front-end components I created. This does not include the many reworks, bug fixes, logic adjustments, and other incremental improvements I delivered over time.
I also helped develop an internal agency plugin designed to manage affiliate marketing partners and links. This tool streamlined the workflow for the marketing and content teams, allowing them to easily update affiliate information and integrate it directly into site content.
For project management, we used the Atlassian suite, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket, and I regularly participated in peer reviews to ensure high-quality code before deployment.
During the agency’s 2023 Dev Summit, I presented a talk and live demonstration of the internal plugin I helped build for managing affiliate marketing partners and links.
